I’m Dr. DJ Griffith, a queer, neurodivergent therapist and educator with a PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision. Through PhDeej Psychotherapy, Consulting, and Supervision, I bring clinical expertise, lived experience, and a no-nonsense approach to therapy, consultation, and supervision.
At the core of my work is the Coexistence Framework, which helps people navigate relationships and situations where others hold different beliefs, values, or identities without losing their own sense of self. I support clients in holding conflicting truths and emotions, tolerating ambiguity, repairing internalized harm, and re-authoring their lives with both self-compassion and accountability. Whether working with individuals, professionals managing burnout, or systems striving to do better, my work centers on integration and harmony.
My therapeutic approach draws on evidence-based modalities like ERP, DBT, CBT, EMDR, and ETT. However, I believe technique alone isn't what drives the work. I bring attunement, adaptability, and clinical precision, in areas such as complex trauma, OCD, neurodivergence, and substance use. I’ve spent years in crisis response and assessment work, and I understand how to meet intensity with clarity.
My dissertation research on microaggressions toward non-binary counselors deepens my commitment to culturally responsive and identity-affirming care. This research informs the consulting and supervision work I offer to therapists, clinics, and organizations who are ready to think beyond checkbox DEI and toward actual systemic change.
If you’re seeking grounded therapy, sharp consultation, or affirming supervision, I offer real conversations and a focus on what connects us—not what divides us.
